Harbor Springs, Mich. – For 27 years PGA professionals from BOYNE Golf have raised more than $700,000 through the annual Harbor Cup golf event, benefiting local charities including Manna Food Projectand First Tee-Northern Michigan.
The annual fall event was held October 2-3 at Harbor Point Golf Club in Harbor Springs. PGA professionals from BOYNE Golf’s properties were pitted against PGA professionals from Petoskey area golf courses (Team Harbor) in a fun 54-hole Ryder Cup style format. Team Harbor won this year’s event 13-11.
Team BOYNE professionals raised over $80,000 for the charities this year. The Team BOYNE Harbor Cup included Captain Steve Niezgoda, Assistant Captains Bernie Friedrich and Dave Trudell. Players included Indiana Jones, Avry Freel, Casey Powers, Brian Jakeway, John Myers, Scott Pussehl, Zach Zondlo, Steve Niezgoda, Bob Wilson, Josh Richter, Jeff Roth, and Bob Prange.
